A southern California native, Ailis Garcia is a speaker, writer, and the creator of the women’s lifestyle community, The Strong Movement®. Known for her genuine and down-to-earth personality and positive attitude, Ailis inspires others to be their best.
Ailis has experience as the host for the Los Angeles Dodgers, hosting a live show and interviewing celebrities and fans during sold-out baseball games. She speaks to female college students and sorority women across the country on healthy living and wellness, confidence and body-image, and positive psychology, as well as middle school and high school students on motivation and goal setting. She loves to work with sorority chapters helping women dream big and support each other with her Strong Girl Workshops + Workouts. Additionally, Ailis works with companies to enhance employee well-being by delivering positive psychology workshops and creating workplace wellness programs informed by positive psychology research.
Ailis created The Strong Movement® to inspire women to build both strong bodies and strong minds through fitness, nutrition, healthy living and personal growth. From the Strong Girl Guides she wrote, to the Strong Girl Journal she created and the activewear line she designed, Ailis’ mission has always been the same—to help women feel confident and become their best.
Previously, Ailis has hosted red carpet events as the Red Carpet Correspondent for Latina Magazine. She was the host, reporter, writer and editor for Dodgers Nation and Trojan Tailgate TV, has guest hosted on Celebuzz and Dash Radio, and co-hosted on Girls Guide to Sports and SoCal Sports Report. As a fitness model, Ailis has also modeled for NIKE Women campaigns.
Ailis writes regularly on wellness, healthy living and positive psychology. She is a National Academy of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer, NASM CPT, Fitness Nutrition Specialist, NASM FNS, and Weight Loss Specialist, NASM WLS. Ailis is a graduate of the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business and Greif Center for Entrepreneurial Studies and has earned her Master of Applied Positive Psychology Degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
Ailis is proud of her Cuban heritage, and enjoys catching up with her family and friends over a cup of coffee, or “un cafecito.” She enjoys reading, traveling, yoga and her daily workouts.
